Museum's Next Event

Independence Day Program: "To Make New Out of Old: Recovering t he Depth of Thought That Brough the United States into Existence"
July 5, 2025, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

The Civil Rights Museum announces a project to identify key components of America's Three Stages of Constitutional founding and to begin assembling these pieces to form a fresh composition of fundamental values. We anticipate a series of workshops where participants will learn about the substantive commitments of these Foundings. Our eventual objective will be to sketch the contours and contents of a Fourth Stage of constitution making.

The July 5 program will lay out the design and concepts of the year-long project, as we work to compose a coherent United Stages of America.
