The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is located at 134 S. Elm Street in Greensboro, NC. Public parking is available in surface lots and parking decks throughout the downtown area.

Traveling from Reidsville, Danville, Va., or points North via Hwy 29:

Take US 29 South to Greensboro, N.C.

Take the Market Street exit.

Turn right onto East Market Street.

Continue on East Friendly Avenue.

Turn left onto North Elm Street.

The International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your right

From Asheboro, Rockingham or points South via I-73/US 220:

Take Interstate 73 North/US 220 North to Greensboro, N.C. .
(US 220 becomes Freeman Mill Road/S. Edgeworth Street as you approach the downtown area) .

Turn right at West Washington Street.

Turn left onto South Elm Street.

The International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your left

From Salisbury, Charlotte or points South via I-85:

Take I-85 North to Greensboro, N.C. .

Merge onto I-85 North Bus/US-29 North/US-70 East.

Take exit 35B (I-73 North/US 220 North) .
(US 220 becomes Freeman Mill Road/South Edgeworth Street as you approach the downtown area) .

Turn right at West Market Street.

Take the third right onto North Elm Street.

The International Civil Rights Museum will be on your right

From Burlington, Durham, Raleigh or points East via I-40:

Take I-40 West/I-85 South to Greensboro, N.C. .

Continue on I-40 Bus West/I-85 Bus South.

Take exit 38 for US 421 toward Sanford.

Turn right at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Take the slight right at East McGee Street.

Take the first right onto South Elm Street.

The International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your left

From Winston-Salem, Asheville or points West via I-40:

Take I-40 East to Greensboro, N.C. .

Continue on I-40 Bus East.

Take exit 218B for I-73 toward Freeman Mill Road.

Freeman Mill Road will become South Edgeworth Street.

Turn right at West Market Street.

Take third right onto South Elm Street.

The International Civil Rights Center & Museum will be on your right.

This public parking deck is managed by the City of Greensboro, and entrance into the deck can be accessed from South Greene St. and Washington St.

Davie St. Parking Deck

(Approximately 556 feet from the International Civil Rights Center & Museum)

This public parking deck is managed by the City of Greensboro and entrance into the deck can be accessed from both North Davie St. and Friendly Ave.

City of Greensboro Public Parking Deck Fees:

Free parking in decks for the first 60 minutes, and flat fee of $0.50 cents per hour thereafter. Free parking on the weekends starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and ending 6:00 a.m. on Monday. Parking is also free week nights starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
